Description
AffiPCR® Taq antibody
AffiPCR® Taq antibody is a monoclonal antibody against Taq DNA polymerase, which can inhibit the polymerization activity of Taq DNA polymerase by combining with it. Champagne Taq antibody has the superior binding affinity to Taq DNA polymerase. It can block the activity of Taq DNA polymerase even at 65°C, thereby effectively inhibiting nonspecific annealing of primers and nonspecific amplification caused by primer dimers. When Champagne Taq antibody is heated at 95°C for 30 sec, it will be completely inactivated. Thereby, the polymerization activity of Taq DNA polymerase is totally released. This product is suitable for various hot-start PCR/qPCR based on Taq DNA polymerase.
Storage Conditions:
Store at -30°C ~ -15°C and transport at ≤0°C.
Applications:
It is applicable for various hot-start PCR/qPCR based on Taq DNA polymerase.
Notes:
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Unit Definition:
One unit (U) is defined as the amount of antibody that inhibits more than 95% of the activity of 1 U Taq DNA Polymerase at 55°C for 30 min.
Examples:
Mix equal volumes of Taq DNA Polymerase (5 U/μl) and Taq antibody (5 U/μl), and place at 20°C ~ 25°C for about 10 min, that is, hot-start Taq DNA Polymerase (2.5 U/μl).
